All employees and management are covered by Worker's Compensation and/or private disability insurance. Cast in Place Warranty

Jerry's Concrete Works Ltd. warrants all cast in place concrete work to the original customer for 3 years against structural cracks and scaling. We will rectify the scaling area. Pop outs, mortar flaking, honey combing (on sides due to low slump pour), minor cracks, slab curling, discoloration and crazing are excluded from this warranty. Minor cracks are defined as less than 3/8-inch separation in any direction. Minor shrinkage and stress cracks can occur within 24 hours in rare cases. We test our concrete randomly. We do not guarantee against cracks in basement floors including structural cracking due to no reinforcing in the concrete. We do not guarantee against any ground movement. Jerry's Concrete is NOT responsible for animal prints on the new concrete such as cat prints, squirrels, etc.

Sealing Concrete

Concrete must be sealed/ re-sealed from the middle of August to the middle of September (weather permitting) unless the concrete was poured within the last 28 days. If you are NOT using your patio in the winter, there is no need to seal it. For patios, sidewalks, and steps, seal it for the first 2 years and every second year after. For driveways and garage pads, seal it for first 3 years and every other year after. You must use a high quality sealer. Failure to apply sealer voids the warranty. We recommend purchasing sealer from Jerry's Concrete, Home Depot, Specialty Construction Products or White Cap.

Corrosive Salts Discouraged

Use of corrosive material, salt or Polar Ice Melt voids warranty. That is, ice melting products void warranty. Polar Ice Melt states that their product will not damage concrete, when in fact it is harmful. Any product that melts ice will damage concrete.  We recommend only using kitty litter, sand or traction grip from Jerry's concrete, LOWE'S, Home Depot, etc. as a means of traction.  Since the city uses a very high content of salt in their sanding products on streets, we recommend you park in the garage or on the street during mild winter days, as salt picked up on street will drip off onto your driveway. A little care and maintenance will ensure a long-lasting driveway. If our supplier suspects surface deterioration is due to the customer applying any corrosive materials the on us is on the customer to get the concrete tested by a qualified expert in the field. If the test results prove no salt was used, we will refund the test cost and rectify the area in question.
